Kayden V.S. The Closet Monster
Kayden vs the closet monster is a heartfelt and imaginative one-act play that follows a young girl navigating her fears, friendships, and sense of belonging through the help of her imaginary friend, Kitty, and the loving guidance of her two dads. When a new student joins her class, Kayden begins to find the courage to share her truth and embrace what makes her family — and herself — unique. Centered around themes of inclusion, identity, and self-acceptance, this play offers a tender, age-appropriate lens on growing up in an LGBTQ+ family and finding pride in who you are.
